Seashell Wedding Cake

This is a wedding cake I made last weekend. I made the seashells out of white chocolate and colored some of the chocolate. Then dusted the shells with a shiny dusting powder (edible) in a pink, pearl, bronze or champagne color. The 'sand' is actually brown sugar and white granulated sugar mixed. The pearls are candy 'beads' that I also dusted with the powder. My son Michael, and his friend went with me to deliver this cake and we had so much fun. We were just throwing 'sand' all over the table and instead of 'collecting' seashells as we have done all of our lives, we were putting shells in the sand. Placing the chocolate shells and the pearls all in the sand was a job I gave them as I was working on the cake sides, I stood still and watched as these two adults had as much fun playing in the sand, as they did when they were little. All I could picture was my children as little beach babies, reaching to pick up a treasure that they found along the shore. As I was lost in this memory, I could almost hear the waves, until Michael shouts 'OH-OH-'. That-- ladies and gentlemen, is NOT a word that a cake decorator wants to hear (and my son knew this). He just wanted to bring me back to reality so we could finish MY cake~lol. His friend said he loved to go with Michael because he never knew what fun thing we were going to do next.lol. And these 'boys' are now 21 years old. lol. Well, I just wanted to share a little bit of what I do on a daily basis. And this just happens to be one of my favorite cakes I've ever done. Everyone at the wedding was ecstatic over the cake too, and that is what makes all the hard work worth it. Thanks for looking. Have a great day and as always, God bless~~

Country Girls~

I am really having a hard time trying to figure out how to do this whole blog thing. I know what my friends are gonna say~ here come the blonde jokes~lol. I can write and post it, I can upload some photos/scrapbook pages (I don't know if they are the right size), I can edit my profile and that's about it. Sooooo it might take me a little while longer than I thought to get all of my goals finished on time- I am going to shoot for another day to have it all up and running smooth-- how about January 1st 2010? Just kidding~~ I am going to read, read, read and then see what I have to do at 4shared to share and/sell my treats. And also how to post credits for using some of the wonderful items from designers to make my scrapbook pages. I could just post it, but I would like to link back or even navigate away from this page to the credits. There are sooooo many items to list on my pages- Raspberry Road and ScrapGirls are my staples! You will see alot of their products. Also Heralds, Lara aka DustyBear, Christine Smith, Shabby Princess, etc. *not all on these pages* If anyone can help with anything during the next couple weeks (or months~lol) please, please leave me a comment, I would appreciate any help at all. Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day~~

This first page is me when I was little and the next one is two of my nieces this year- I took this photo of them at our farm, I had them posing everywhere. Here, sit on the grill, how about in the pear tree? How about hang upside down on the fence~~lol. They always know I'm gonna tell them to go sit or stand somewhere other than the one place they are already standing~lol. I will post one of my kids later tonight. God bless~~~~

A few scrapbook pages and a hurricane~

I will post the credits for these lo's tomorrow. The weather is getting very bad here right now. The eye of the storm is over top of us, but the winds are starting to pick up and satellite reception is not very good. God bless each of you today and have a wonderful day~~~

Hello to my precious Ginny and Robin in Las Vegas~ I miss you two~~~~xoxoxo

And hugs to Susan at RaspberryRoad Designs. After hearing what a terrible thing someone had done to her, it makes me wonder where the morals are in our world today. Lots of love to you Susan and God bless. If you haven't stopped by her blog or store, stop by and maybe pick up a little something to help her recover what someone has taken from her. If you cannot afford to please just say a little prayer that she can get back on track after losing so much. A 'BIG THANK YOU' and what goes around comes around. Spread a little joy and get a lot of happiness~~~

My 1st Blog~~Now what~

Now what??????????

Welcome to my blog~~~~ My Hive~~~~

My name is Tami, aka BizzyBee, I live in beautiful Florida. I am a mother of 3 wonderful, Christian, grown children, daughter of the greatest parents, sister to 5, and an aunt to many nieces and nephews. I love the Lord with all my heart and you will probably hear me talk often of the wondrous things God has done for me. I LOVE~LOVE~LOVE~ to do any craft especially scrapbooking. Digi scrapping is definitely an addiction I have that I am proud of. I have made over 3,000 digi scrapbook pages for my children and family. But before I learned about digi, I had made so many scrapbook pages for albums that they are actually sitting in big plastic tubs with lids because there are too many to make books out of~lol. I have every hole punch, every scissors, stamps, stickers, cutters, tapes, inks, paints, brushes, papers, etc., etc., all just sitting in plastic tubs. One day I hope to get back to paper scrapping, but for now I am enjoying digi-playing~lol. I enjoy taking pictures of anything and everything. Most of the time when everyone sees me coming, they run and hide~ lol~ they know the flash is going to start going off when I'm around-lol. We own a cake shop/bakery that is my other life~ lol~ I do cakes in my sleep. Haha. You will see pics of some of the cakes I do I am sure. I just made one of the most beautiful seashell wedding cakes I have ever made. I'll show it off later though. Sometimes I tend to ramble, so stop me when I, wait you can't stop me~~ROTF~ I won't always ramble on and on an on and........ O.K. on to more important things......

I have been trying to prepare for this blog for awhile and now that I have it-- well, I'm not sure how to get started. I cannot believe I am actually getting an internet connection, as I am on satellite and sitting in the middle of a hurricane~lol.

I plan to show off all of my scrapbook pages, make freebie digi scraps and even have a dollar store for my digital creations. But let's get started by setting things up here.

If there is anyone who would like to make me a blinkie, I would LOVE to have one, and I have absolutely no idea how to make them- lol.
As soon as I figure out how to get my blog in order I will start posting my photos and my digi treasures. I would like to put a cbox(comment box) in, but one thing at a time.
Thank you for stopping by and be sure to bookmark me. Check back later for my first freebie~~~~
If anyone has any suggestions for my blog, please feel free to leave a message in the comment section for now- until I get a better set-up. I will be trying to make my header also, so I have alot to do and alot to learn before I do~ lol.
Have a blessed day!
